Bistecca a la Brian
- 2 10-12 oz. N.Y. Strip Steaks
- 2 cup – Olive Oil
- 1 tsp – Garlic Powder
- 1 cup – Italian Bread Crumbs
- 1 pint – Fresh Mushrooms (sliced)
- White Wine Lemon Butter Sauce (see below for recipe)
- Marinate steaks for at least 1 hour in olive oil and garlic.
- Roll in bread crumbs
- Charbroil over medium heat 4-6 minutes. each side (medium rare)
- Remove from grill, top with sauce and mushrooms. (serve immediately)
White Wine Lemon Butter Sauce
- 1 stick – Corn Oil Margarine
- 2 tsp – Flour
- 1 cup – Chicken Stock
- 1/2 cup – White Wine
- Juice of 1/2 Lemon
- 1 tsp – Garlic Powder
- Bring margarine and flour to rue consistency.
- Add chicken stock, wine, lemon juice and garlic
- Stir and reduce to medium-thick consistency over medium heat.
- Add mushrooms and pour over steak.
